When I first planned out this client shoot I was nervous and honestly a little reluctant. My previous shoot had been stressful, but successful. Even so, I wanted this shoot to be smooth and effortless on top of being successful. I do not believe that work has to be hard or strenuous. In pursuit of my goal, I went out early one morning to scout my location, make sure the light was workable and the space was photo friendly. While I was in the canyon, a sense of pure peace and vibrant life over took me. The quiet of the space, the golden ocean of grass, the sentry mountains watching over me; it all washed over me and swept away my worries.

Mrs. Pinzon: Man, you guys are wearing me out.
Neighbor Girl: Why? We’re just taking pictures.
What do you say to a seven-year-old who has more energy than your new puppy? You can imagine how mom and dad might be worn out after being dragged around by three kidlets, two dogs, and a toddler for an hour. But you know she won't get it. After all, kids will be kids.
There is nothing like the anticipation of pregnancy. It can make us anxious, excited, and maybe a little overbearing. But it also brings us together.
As I prepared for A. Pinzon's family shoot a couple of weeks ago, all worries and stress vanished from my system. Even without previously meeting this family, I knew that this shoot would go smoothly and create beautiful photographs.
Marriage is a special bond that can hold you together through thick and thin, sadness and joy. May you stay strong together and support each other. Wishing this beautiful couple a happily ever after!
We dance for laughter, we dance for tears, we dance for madness, we dance for fears, we dance for hopes, we dance for screams, we are dancers, we create dreams.
Wishing this beautiful couple love and laughter and a happily ever after. Congratulations to Mia and Jorge!
Today's shoot was a little bit silly and a whole lot of fun :) Anna, a good friend of mine from Brazil (who also just so happens to be graduating high school here in Albuquerque, NM with me), is bright, funny, and gorgeous. She's sarcastic, excited all the time, and a little bit weird; everything I could ever ask for in a friend.
Cory is one of the most comedic people I know. He's always making jokes and fooling around. But during this shoot he was more serious than comedic. It was kind nice to see his more focused side, but I also missed his care free smiles and jokes. Luckily, after some joking on my part and a few laughs, he let his handsome smile come out.
Raina and I are what you'd call unlikely friends. We had most of the same classes all throughout high school but we didn't really talk or even become friends until our junior year. We had just started to get to know each other when we attended a presentation on "going abroad while in high school." When the presentation ended I asked her if she would go abroad with me. She jokingly said yes, unaware of how serious I was. A few weeks later I started pestering her about filling out the application. Soon after, we were on our way to Spain and to becoming great friends.
Sometimes I wonder where the world would be with out talented writers.
Fortunately, for all of us book lovers out there, the world is full of them! And Jessica is one of those wonderful writers.
I first met Jessica in my sophomore year of high school. She was quiet and a bit eccentric, in love with Buffy the Vampire and writing.
